It was a hot summers day at DBIS and the teachers had finished work and were bored. “There’s nothing to do when the children aren’t here.”said Ms Cole sounding sullen. All the other teachers nodded in reply.

Suddenly Mr Loran shrieked,

“Since the children aren’t here, how about replacing them by acting like them!”All the others thought this a very good idea.

First they decided to go to the back of the hall where all the costumes were and dress up like children do. After a while they decided this wasn’t enough, so they began to run and swing on the climbing frames. After a while they found this boring so they started to imitate Mr Ramsay!

They didn’t notice a by passer walking by wondering what on earth was going on. The concerned lady tapped one of the teachers on the shoulder and asked,

“What on earth are you doing wearing children’s costumes and imitating some person!?” the shocked teachers stood there as the lady chuckled to herself. “This is irresponsible, you are grown adults!” The teachers explained to the lady that they were bored and needed something to do.

The teachers soon found a more sensible solution… ask the children to come back to school since they were clearly more well behaved!

The End

Annie and Halley were experiencing one of those days where you’re sitting inside the school bus and there’s nothing to do.”Annie I feel like doing something incredibly crazy today!” mentioned Halley.

“Me too!”Commented Annie.

Annie and Halley were twins; they are both 11, and both the naughty children in the class. Their dad died two years ago of heart disease, so their mum had to take care of the hard work.

“I just got the best idea!” screamed Annie in excitement.

“What?”

“We could switch places for a day,” said Annie joyfully.

“Yeah, I could go to Mr. Wilburton’s class…”

“And I could go to Ms Bush’s class.”

The next day, Halley went to Annie’s class and Annie went Halley’s class. The problem was, as soon as the teachers asked either of them something, they had no idea what they were talking about. When Mr. Wilburton asked Halley-who he thought was Annie- if she brought her mountains and rivers assessment she hadn’t a clue what he was blabbering about. Mr. Wilburton’s face started growing as red as a robin on a hot summers day.

“You what?!” bellowed Mr. Wilburton as he leant over the trembling child.

“I, I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Halley whispered trembling like a newborn sheep being cornered by a bull.

“Go and sit in your seat, I don’t have time for dawdling.”

Halley left the classroom for break and she ran to find Annie.

“What’s up with you?” questioned Annie, as she tilted her head slightly.

“Why didn’t you tell me you had a project due?”Halley asked, steam spilling out of her ears.

“I forgot!”

“That’s no excuse!” Halley stomped away angrily leaving Annie behind to feel guilty.

“I will get her tomorrow!” said Halley under her breath.

Tuesday was the worst day ever. As Halley entered the classroom Mr. Wilburton asked to see her. She wasn’t in trouble, yet. Mr. Wilburton asked her to go to Ms Bush’s class, to deliver a heavy box full of parts to make a skeleton. As Halley left the classroom with the big heavy box. She replied “Ok Egghead!”

Mr. Wilburton gasped as Halley ran off to Ms Bush’s class. When she got there she dropped off the box and asked to see Halley-who is really Annie-.

“Annie, we need to talk.”

“About what?”

“I think we should switch back!”

“Why?”

“Because Mr. Wilburton nearly found out!”

“Really, switch classes immediately after break!”

“Annie, why did you call me an egghead?”Questioned Mr. Wilburton.

“I didn’t, what are you talking about?”

“I heard you say it don’t lie to me!”He roared

“I don’t know what you are talking about, honestly!”

“Sit Down! I am very mad at you Annie!” Annie did as she was told but still pondered at the mystery. By the time it was lunch Annie had solved the problem. Annie knew what she was going to do. She was going to give Halley a little bit of payback. The next day while Halley was in the playground chatting to her friends, Annie sneaked into the classroom. When no one was around she stuck Ms Bush’s favorite whiteboard marker to the desk and left Halley’s diary lying next to it. Ms Bush’s class settled into math and when Ms Bush’s tried to pick up the marker the scheme had worked. As Ms Bush struggled to loosen the pen, she spotted the diary and started blowing fire out of her nose.

“HALLEY!”She spluttered coldly, she was so loud it seemed that the whole school shook.

“Is something wrong, Miss?”

“You stuck my grandmother’s pen to my desk, you blubbering fool!”

“That wasn’t me!”

“Then why is you’re diary lying here.”

“I don’t know!”

“That’s no excuse, sit down now!”Squealed Ms Bush at the top of her voice. Halley did what she was told but decided to have a snack time meeting with the devil. Annie and Halley met at the pitch and Annie said,

“Got my little surprise did you?” Halley giggled as if a funny joke. “Of course, did ya get mine?”

“And proud of it!”

Annie and Halley were silent for quite a while on the way home. When they woke up the next morning they realized they couldn’t stay away from each other forever.

“I miss you” They both cried and hugged each other like they would never let go.

There are lots of different types of forces these include gravity, friction, push/pull and even air resistance. These are some of the things that help us move.

Gravity: Gravity is an invisible pull that brings 2 objects together for instance if you were on mars you wouldn’t weigh the same that you do on earth.

Friction: Friction is when an object is rubbed across a surface. For instance if you place an object on a tray and lift up one end slightly the friction is strong but if you do the same but put water on the tray you would get less friction.

Air resistance: Air resistance a.k.a aerodynamic drag is friction in the air instead it doesn’t happen in the middle of 2 objects it is cut through by the object. For instance an aeroplane uses air resistance to keep it up in the air.

The mess was cleaned up in time but when the queen found out she was not to pleased. The tree was the queens pride and joy and she personally decorates it.

One of the staff members involved was the queens footman Fraser Marlton-Thomas who once pulled the queens chair down during a Sandringham meal in 2006, during her attempt to sit down she crashed down onto the floor landing on several of her corgis.

I was so happy we had a week off from school because I didn’t have to cramp my brain with knowledge. It pleased me that I got to meet some of my old friends from London. There names are Frances and Patrick, They used to have a sister called Claire but she died when she was 7. The reason Claire died was because she was disabled she couldn’t talk, walk, eat or speak. You are probably wondering how she survived for seven years if she couldn’t eat or drink well the answer to that is she was fed through a tube.

When Claire and I were younger we used to lie down and play I always asked Claire questions as if she wasn’t different to others. Claire was one of my best friends and I miss her a lot.

So when my family and I were waiting for Claire’s younger siblings to arrive I was nervous, but at the same time excited. When they arrived my sister and I Immediatly jumped into action as we all played together and had alot of fun. They ended up coming for a sleep over, It was a fun night!

I went on a wetlands trip this week, it was so fun! I learned so much, for instance, a fiddler crab has one large claw and one small one. The big one is for Fighting and attracting females. The small one is for eating and collecting food. After we learnt about the wetlands animals, we went to have lunch. I had a bagel with ham (yum!). When we finished our lunch we went to the gift shop, I bought a girrafe pen for Karla. We had a few more minuites, so we explored the kind of fun area, it had interactive games and quizzes. I loved my wetlands trip I might go with a friend next time!

The Boy Who Surfed the Net

Timmy Johnson and his parents were going on holiday to Hawaii for the summer. Timmy was a short boy with dark brown hair and deep green eyes. He was 12 and was not very popular. He was home schooled by his father. His father was very strict about school, so during the summer he would send Timmy to summer school which he would never miss. Timmy didn’t have friends, well you could say he did, his only friend wasn’t human, his only friend was his cat Einstein.

Timmy played with Einstein every day. Usually it was the old drag a mouse across the floor game, but they were all each other had. Anyway, one sunny day, Timmy went out in the garden after fractions to play with Einstein, he called him but he never came. He tried again, but still no reply. Timmy started to worry, Einstein always came when called even though he was very old. He searched the garden for hours but still no sign. He sat on the bench beside the pond and started to think. Timmy’s stomach tensed, where could he be, thought Timmy. He pushed his legs back and something fury brushed against his leg. He jumped off the bench and put his ear on the silky green grass and faced the furry creature lying there, with it’s eyes closed and seemed to not be breathing. He gave Einstein a little shake. He did It again but this time said his name at the same time. Timmy burst into tears, Einstein was dead. Timmy raised Einstein in the air and rested him on his chest. He ran into the room with him and Timmy told his dad. His dad was heartbroken, Einstein was the only friend Timmy had. Now that little Einstein was gone he was alone. The father promised to take Timmy to the pet shop on the weekend and get another cat, but Timmy refused, he didn’t want a new cat he wanted Einstein.
Timmy’s dad pulled him into his arms and said “Why don’t you go upstairs and pack for Hawaii so we can leave after lunch, maybe that will take Einstein of your mind.”
“Sure, but what about summer school?” asked Timmy as he wandered up stairs still sobbing, he new he’d never get over Einstein. He went upstairs and quickly packed his bag.

Timmy stumbled down the stairs, and said, “let’s go.” His parents turned around and his mother said,
“We are so sorry Timmy, but we have had a discussion.”
“Oh no! Discussions aren’t good”, whispered Timmy.
Mum carried on, “We made a decision, we don’t think it is a good idea for you to skip two whole weeks of summer school so we think you should stay here with Grandma while we go on holiday.”
Timmy threw his bag on the floor and screamed, “I hate you!” He ran upstairs and packed his school bag for summer school – you should never argue with Mum and Dad. He grabbed his suitcase from the floor downstairs and ran back upstairs and packed to stay at Granny’s. He stepped inside the car but he didn’t say goodbye.on the way there he pulled out a hard object from his backpack it was hurting his back the way it stuck out like that it was a picture of Einstein tears rolled down his face like a slow stream trickling across the slippery mud he just could not resist he was his only friend more like his best friend.

When the car screeched to a halt Timmy opened it’s door and ran from the rain. He opened the pale pink door and slammed it shut. Inside he slipped his shoes off and ran upstairs to the guest room. Across the hall was Granny Betty’s room. Timmy unpacked in the Guest room. He strolled across the hall and knocked on the door for Granny Betty’s room. She opened the door and said, “Hello my boy, I hope you have a nice stay.”
“OK,” Timmy replied.
Unfortunately, Granny Betty’s teeth never grew so she had fake teeth. She should remove them once in a while, but decides to never put them in , when she talks she spits so Timmy was covered in old people saliva which wasn’t pleasant, at all. Timmy asked Granny Betty if he could use her computer. She said yes but added that it was slow. Timmy replied
“That’s fine.” Timmy wanted to make a quick escape from spitzilla so he raced to the guest room and turned on the extremly slow computer.

He accessed his e-mail and wrote a strict letter to his parents he was so mad. Timmy sent his strict letter but completely regretted it . Timmy wished he didn’t send it, or even write it, then as soon as he was feeling sorry for his self , out of nowhere proofed out a fairy godmother of some sort. Timmy screamed and dived under the guest bed. The godmother said she could help get his letter back. Timmy didn’t believe her but you’re never sure so he asked
“Really?” and she said
“Yes!” She told Timmy to wish he was in the Internet.Timmy repeated what she requested him to repeat and in a blink he was inside the Internet.

“Wow!”He said to myself . It looked like a huge portal or a busy road, on the Internet road were e-mails whizzing passed and movie clips floating by. It was amazing. Timmy had to find his e-mail. He dove into one as it zoomed passed. Timmy read it and hopped into the next one. He repeated this method until he’d checked all of them. His was no where to be seen. As soon as he was about to give up, an unread letter zoomed passed, he hopped on to a movie clip and started to follow the unread letter. The movie clip was too slow. He hopped onto an e-mail that looked colourful and zoomed right next to the unread letter. He hopped into it and read it, it was his strict letter. He managed to turn it around by pulling the nearest edge towards his back and pushing it the other way. When he saw his computer screen he pulled over and wished himself out.

He opened his eyes and looked down at his feet. Lying there was Einstein licking his toes and meowing. He was confused even though he hugged Einstein and whispered “I love you, your my best friend.” He scooped Einstein up in his arms and ran downstairs. He put Einstein down in his little cat hut and went to breakfast. He said to Mum and Dad “So, how was Hawaii?”.
They said,”what do you mean?”
He thought for a while “what do they mean?” he said to himself, he was confused, a few minutes later he realised it was all a dream, and got on with his normal life, being a boy.

I think the reason they don”t like homework is that they are getting to much or because they want to laze around and watch television, I don’t know what the reason is but I am going to find out.
Most people say that they are too lazy and just want to watch television. Children are young and don’t understand that homework is important for your future and you have to do it.
